Mrs. Deanna Linn Waldron Barror teaches Social Studies for sophomores and above. She teaches American History, her favorite, as well as Psychology and Economics. However Psychology, she likes teaching the most because she doesn’t have to worry so much about homework. Just before she began working at TTA, she was a Home Ec. Teacher at Rogers, which is most interesting because she admits that she is unable to even thread a needle.

Mrs. Barror attended Bowsher High School and went to college at the University of Toledo. She started her work career in an office but decided on teaching. She received an undergraduate degree in history and a degree in education. She expresses great pride in her teaching certificate.

Along with being an amazing teacher, Mrs. Barror is a great mother with three children: Paul, Jasmine, and Johnathan. Paul is a junior at Northwood and Jasmine is a freshman at the Toledo School of the Arts. These two students are also musicians with Paul playing the saxophone and Jasmine playing the electric guitar and the clarinet. Her youngest child is Johnathon, age 1 ½, and he attends daycare. Her husband name is Shane Barror, who does two different jobs. He owns his own rental property company and he manages government regulation in housing. This means that he inspects houses to see if they are up to code.

Mrs. Barror has several hobbies and interests outside of her life at school. She loves to read something besides Dr. Seuss. As you can tell, she spends some time reading Dr. Seuss to a young child. She still loves spending time with her family though. Every moment is precious. She likes traveling places in the country as well. The most interesting place she has visited is Washington D.C. She believes there is something to do there for everyone no matter how weird or unique you are. Her furthest travel point was to Hawaii.

Some of her favorites include the color green and the baseball team Yankees. She really enjoys looking forward to seeing the Yankees when they play and, of course, Saturday. Her favorite TV show is Lost, and her favorite movie is National Treasure. She listens to all kinds of music but definitely enjoys the Rolling Stones and Aero smith.
